Salford City manager Karl Robinson has praised his team’s recent performances in the league, despite being winless in their last two.

The Ammies will head to South London to take on a Bromley side that is yet to lose at home this season is currently one above Salford in League Two.

Just five points currently separate the top ten teams in the division and Salford will hope to make up ground on their promotion rivals in a heavily congested League Two table.

Salford come into the game after a 2-0 defeat at MK Dons last week, following a goalless draw at home to Cambridge United the week before.

Speaking on Thursday,  Robinson was full of praise for his squad, despite the poor results: “We feel our dominance in games deserves more than what we have got out of the last two games.

“One point in six has not been fair on the players whose performances have been very good.

“Everything we try and do is so that we score as many goals as we possibly can, to not score in the last two is something that we do not like and will look to improve on”.

Victory on Saturday would see Salford move closer to the automatic promotion places, before three home games at The Peninsula stadium, including FA Cup and Vertu Trophy ties against Leyton Orient and Rotherham.

However the former Mk Dons manager was keen to play down the fact all three games are on their own patch:

“I don’t get too worried about the fixture list to be honest,” he said. “Anyone worried about whether the game is home or away, already beaten by the worry of the fixture.

When asked about the upcoming cup matches, he said: “We owe it to them (Rotherham) to an extent after they beat us in the Carabao Cup on penalties.

“And obviously  with Leyton Orient in the cup everyone knows the history of the short spell Richie Wellens was here and it is live on the TV.

“It will be nice to play these games if we are in a good position in the league”
