Salford residents will have the chance to join in the festivities with an exciting saxophone Christmas concert this December.
The festive spirit in the community will begin this week, as Saxattax will take to the stage offering a unique blend of Christmas tunes and familiar songs on Thursday 5 December, at Eccles Town Hall.
Quartet member Joann Kerrigan said: “This performance will feature a selection of holiday classics, reimagined through the unique sound of the saxophone quartet.
“It’s a different experience for the audience—hearing these familiar songs in a new way.
“We’re really looking forward to bringing together the local community for a night of festive fun and live music.”
The group’s presence in Salford has also seen a growth and engagement in music, with both older and younger people attending, and even children who are studying the saxophone themselves.
“We’ve had a great response, and it’s been wonderful to see such a wide range of people enjoying the music,” she continued.
“We usually perform popular music, including pop, jazz, reggae, and Latin covers,” Joann explains. “However, for this special Christmas performance, we’ll be focusing on festive carols and well-known Christmas songs, all played on saxophones.”
Tickets for the event from 7.30-9pm are £10 and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
For a little extra holiday cheer, attendees will also be treated to a free mince pie, a festive raffle, and a fully stocked bar.
Saxattax are also available for private functions throughout the year, bringing their signature sound to events across the Northwest.
