Salford Precinct and Eccles Post Office branches are among more than 100 across the UK at risk of closure.
The decision will see the postal service looking to offload 115 directly-owned Crown Post Offices, that employ approximately 1,000 people.
The move from the Post Office could see the branches transferred to retail partners or postmasters, or potentially closed.
Following the announcement from the Post Office, it will see two of the branches in Salford at risk that include both Eccles and Salford Precinct.
The Eccles branch on Church Street has been listed which follows news that the Halifax bank branch is due to disappear in January 2025.
The other Crown Post Office at risk of closure is at Salford Precinct on Rossall Way, in Pendleton.
The Salford branches are two out of the eight across Greater Manchester that are being sold.
The 115 branches are the only remaining branches directly owned by the Post Office, which has seen the numbers fall from nearly 400 in 2010.
In the future all post offices will be franchises.
Currently retailers such like WH Smith, Tesco, Morrisons and the Co-Op operate around 2,000 Post Offices across the country.
Other branches are part of a network of independent postmasters that currently operate around 9,000 in England.
