Salford City Academy is hosting a new free entry fair this weekend in hopes of bringing the local community together.
The new fair takes place on Saturday (May 18) at the secondary school on Northfleet Road on the Brookhouse estate in Eccles.
The fair will run from 12pm until 5pm and has a range of free activities on offer for the children to get involved in.
Sara Hickey, marketing assistant for SCA, from Salford, said: “People don’t necessarily have to spend a lot of money because we know it’s hard at the moment.
“We’ve really tried to put our focus on offering free activities so people can just bring a picnic, put their picnic down on the grass and just enjoy it without having to spend much money.”
The festival offers free face painting, a free bug show from Curious Critters and free inflatables for the children to play on.
There will also be food stalls, arts and crafts, live music and a selection of rides from North West Funfairs. The rides start from £2.50 a go.
Sara continued: “It’s for us to get to know the community a bit better, we do want as many people from the community to attend as possible.
“We’re very excited.”
