Salford City FC face Harrogate Town this Saturday for their final game of a very underwhelming season.

The Ammies, who ended their four game losing streak last Saturday, aim to end their disappointing season on a high.

The home team who were in arms reach of being in the relegation zone face a difficult game this Saturday.

Harrogate Town are currently 12 points ahead of the Ammies and are 13th in the table.

The Sulphurites have had an interesting last run of games with them losing 5-3 against MK Dons last Saturday.

Salford City is at risk of dropping to 21st in the table if they lose this upcoming game, with Grimsby Town being a point behind them.

The last time the two met was in September when Harrogate Town defeated the Ammies 3-2 at home.

Goal scorers Curtis Tilt and Matt Smith gave The Ammies a chance in the teams previous meeting, with Smith scoring the equaliser in the 58th minute.

The Ammies lost the game in the final ten minutes with Harrogate Town forward Abraham Odoh scoring in the 80th minute.

In their last five matches against each other, Salford City has defeated Harrogate Town three times and are hoping to have a similar outcome this Saturday.

Following their 1-0 win against Newport County last Saturday, Salford City may have a chance to win this weekend.

The Ammies had dominated possession throughout the game and even had seven shots on target.

Starboy Matt Smith had scored an extra time howler in the 92nd minute carrying the team to victory.

The striker reached his 25-goal mark for this season and will hope to grab another in the final game on Saturday.

Kick off is at 12pm on Saturday April 27 at the Peninsula Stadium.
