Salford City are getting ready to face off against Notts County for the third time ever.

Currently The Ammies are 20th on 44 points whilst Notts County are sitting at 17th with 48 points.

The League Two bottom table clash on Saturday will be played at The Magpies’ home ground Meadow Lane.

The Ammies have only played The Magpies twice before their next game on Saturday.

Salford City took the first victory against Notts back in 2015 where Salford emerged victorious and won 2-0.

The second time Notts secured the Victory winning 2-0 last September; on Saturday the winner of the best of three will be declared.

In the past five games, in all competitions, Salford City have only managed to win one game. They have lost two and drawn two.

Notts County have also been in poor form for their last five games, again failing to win any, losing four and drawing only one.

When the two clubs played against each other, last September, it was a fiery encounter.

With each team collecting a red card and five yellow cards awarded, the game on the 23rd will not be one to miss.

Currently the Ammies top goal scorer is Matt Smith who has scored 24 goals in 43 games so far this season.

The Magpies’ top goal scorer is Macaulay Langstaff, who has also scored 24 goals but in 39 games this season.

A win would move Salford City up to 18th in the table.
