Nearly £6,000 was raised this April, as the fundraising continued with a night full of music and friends for a mum-of-three from Salford.
Penny Henderson’s children started her Go Fund Me earlier this year in hopes to raise £30,000 for lifesaving treatment that Penny could need in order to help her fight against cancer.
To keep the fundraising going, a charity night was organised by Penny’s friends and family to get another push in donations. The evening had entertainment from an Oasis tribute band, local artists, and live DJ’S Paul Ezi and Jon Worsley.
Whilst everyone enjoyed the music, raffle tickets were being sold to win a huge range of prizes ranging from photoshoots, gin tasting sessions, and beautician appointments. All of the prizes had been donated by local businesses, eateries, and salons all in support of the night.
Penny,46, was diagnosed with cancer in 2019 and has been fighting ever since. In February Penny said how the money will go towards treatment in Germany, which is injected into your immune system to help fight the cancer cells. She told me how this treatment is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and with the money being raised, needs to get it right.
Local upcoming artist Jace Campbell sang at the night.
Overall nearly £6,000 was raised to add to Penny’s Go Fund Me in order to help her win her fight.
