Salford Red Devils have announced that the University of Salford will be sponsoring them again for the 2020/21 season.
The university’s logo will once again be located on the back of the teams shorts and will feature in their historic Challenge Cup final match at Wembley.
Dr. Janice Allan, Dean of Salford University Business School and who is on the board at Salford Red Devils commented:
“We are absolutely delighted that our partnership with Salford Red Devils is being renewed for a further three years.
“As a business school, we are committed to supporting industries in our region but the partnership benefits students from all disciplines.
“Our physiotherapy students are gaining valuable real-world experience working with the SRD players; our creative students are designing kit; and our events students are organising take-over events.
“This partnership represents our industry collaboration strategy at work. The fact that we’re renewing the partnership in the same week that the Club has won a place in the Challenge Cup final makes it even more special.”
🙌 A HUGE THANKS @SalfordUni!

The Challenge Cup final will take place on October 17, but like most sporting events this year there will no fans in the stadium.
However coach Ian Watson is calling for these restrictions to be lifted so that the team can share this historic match with the fans:
“I’d like to see season-ticket holders, sponsors and the players’ families there, I’m sure people can socially distance in that stadium.”
Keep an eye out in our sport section for latest updates regarding this matter and for all the build up for the final at Wembley.
