The Grinch will be appearing at the Lowry just in time for Christmas.
‘Dr. Seuss, How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical’ is taking a tour of the UK and it’s heading to The Lowry from the 10th December until the 5th of January.
The musical, aimed at both children and adults, shows how The Grinch discovers that there’s more to Christmas than he bargained.
Based on Dr. Seuss’ best-selling booking which was made famous by the film adaptation, it aims to take the audience to a different world of ‘Whoville’.
The record-setting New York show, which 1 hour and 50 minutes long, is narrated by Max the Dog who explains the Grinch’s’ schemes throughout.
When touring America the show broke box office records for two consecutive years on Broadway and was viewed over two million times.
It is produced by Simon Friend, Running Subway Productions, Gavin Kalin and Phil McIntyre Entertainments. With John Lee Beatty creating the immersive sets and Robert Morgan designing the transformative costumes.
Griff Rhys Jones known his comedy sketches on the BBC will play old Max and Matt Terry, who won the X-Factor in 2016, will be playing young Max.
Fun from the musical can also be found scattered around The Lowry Outlet with the opportunity to send letters to Father Christmas.
