A lorry has burst into flames on the M60 causing massive delays for commuters.
Greater Manchester Police were reportedly called at 7.05am to attend Junction 17 for Whitefield and Salford.
Three lanes were shut between Junction 17 for Prestwich and Junction 16 for Pendlebury as the emergency services attended the scene earlier this morning.
Queues were reportedly as far back as Junction 21 of the M62.
Although lanes are back open traffic is still slow as recovery of the lorry continues.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.

12:55PM: FIRE BRIGADE UPDATE
The fire brigade told Quays News that the blaze started at 7.05am on Tuesday morning. It took the fire service around half an hour to extinguish the flames. The driver required no assistance to get out of the lorry.
Highways England report that they hope to get the lorry cleared between 12.30 and 12.45.
Recovery and clean-up has been completed and the scene is clear. All lanes now open #M60 snti-clock between J17 and J16. Delays easing
