Grey Mare Lane housing estate residents left in the dark about their future
A housing estate situated just behind the Etihad stadium could be rebuilt after the council have announced plans to sweep the area. The Grey Mare Lane estate in Beswick was built in 1968, and will be one of the last in Manchester of its kind to be regenerated, following thousands of new homes being planned for the future.
67 Salford students could receive life changing bursaries
With the increase in tuition fees for university increasing this year from £9,000 to £9,250 per year of study, the bursary scheme at the university ensures that talented students can come to university to study regardless of their financial circumstances by providing students with a £1000 bursary for their first year of study.
Salford Graduates are getting more firsts than ever!
The University of Salford have the tenth highest first class graduates out of the 148 universities in the country, with 30.4% of graduates achieving the grade, according to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). However, the highest amount of first class degrees came from Imperial College London, who awarded firsts to 41.8% of their graduates.
