An all-female, electric and acoustic group from Salford is set to perform at Eccles Library’s annual Christmas concert.
For the second year running, String Infusion will feature at the concert and a member of the ensemble says she is looking forward to putting on a show.
Emma Rushworth, a member of the band, highlighted how important the performances in Eccles are to String Infusion.
“It’s so much fun, for us it’s important to give back at Christmas to the community. We are a Salford-based band, so it’s really important for us to be a part of the Salford community at Christmas,” she said.
“The main aim of the Christmas concert is to bring people together and to get everyone involved.
“If we can do that by performing a local concert for people by performing a local concert then that is what we aim to do.”
People who attend can expect a night full of carols, movie-themed music and pop twists on Christmas favourites.
Emma spoke about the amazing time they had performing at Eccles Library last year.
“Oh my gosh, it was amazing, it was really packed out, we get really emotional hearing the community singing,” she said.
“If we can bring Christmas joy like that, we can’t really ask for more”.
Members of the community can enjoy two hours of festive fun in the heart of Eccles.
The doors for the concert will open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7pm and ending at 9pm.
