Salford families looking for festive fun are in luck as libraries are hosting a wide range of free events for everyone.
Rockin’ Christmas and Swinging Snowmen Crafts, Art Club Christmas Extravaganzas and the return of the String Infusion Christmas concert and more can be enjoyed across 16 Salford community libraries.
Library marketing and cultural development officer Lois Jones said: “I am very excited about what we have on offer in the build up to Christmas. It is fun for the whole family.”
Her personal favourite is the annual concert at Eccles library which this year is on Thursday December 11 from 7-9pm. Entrance fee is £7 per person and is suitable for ages 12 and up.
Library visitors can spread the festive kindness by writing thoughtful notes to friends or members of the community at the Christmas Kindness Letters Event on Monday December 1 at all 16 libraries and is suitable for ages 4 and up. Tickets are not required.
All 16 libraries are also participating in winter animal and sports craft on Monday December 1, for ages 4 and up. Tickets are free.
