Animal lovers are set to gather next weekend for a free Christmas celebration focused on all things dog.

Pup Culture, an online canine-lovers community, is set to host the annual event at the New Bailey on Saturday (December 6).

Alongside a visit from Father Christmas, there will host a variety of activities, including a dog market with independent brands and street food.

Libby Rush, Co founder of Pup Culture said: “This year we’re not only celebrating the festive season, but also supporting Manchester dogs home through ticket donations and our dog food and toy drive.

“We cant wait to see all the pups in their festive outfits.”

There will be the opportunity for visitors to create a keepsake bauble complete with with their own dog’s pawprint and dogs will also have a chance to have their photograph taken with Santa, where they will receive treats.

All ticket donations will go directly to Manchester & Cheshire Dogs’ Home,  a charity which supports dogs in need particularly through the winter months.

To cap off the event, there will be a best dressed competition, with a prize for the dog who best shows off their festive style, from festive jumpers to costumes.

In the festive spirit, there will be a dog food and toy drive, with donations being asked of blankets and treats, which will be given to the charity for dogs that are still awaiting adoption.

Pup Culture is an online community for pet owners that regularly hosts in-person meetups across the North West. The group offers members the chance to socialise, share advice and celebrate their love for dogs.

Events include educational training sessions led by professional pet behaviourists, as well as dog shows with prizes for best in class competitors.

The event will take place from 11am to 3pm.
