A new takeaway is preparing to open on Poet’s Corner, just metres away from some of Salford’s busiest student accommodations.
The unit sits between a Greggs and Spar, a hugely popular spot for locals and university students living in nearby Student Cribs, IQ Student Quarter and Peel Park Quarter.
For weeks, the storefront has been covered and unlabelled until a Google Maps listing and updated branding revealed the name Burger Stop.
The spot is set to be preparing to become a new local legend for Salford residents, with the Manchester spot having high praise for their late night loaded fries and burgers.
The Salford branch appears close to completion with the bold light blue signage recently being added. Students passing the area were interviewed to hear their thoughts on the local spots in Salford.
With a largely positive reaction, especially from those in the local area. This new spot brings excitement to Salford’s fast food and takeaway scene and adds yet another option for those in the local area. Burger Stop are yet to announce an opening date however the Manchester spot is known for late night delivery hours, something overly welcomed by Students during those late night study sessions.
Speaking with Connor, a student at the University of Salford he said: “Personally, I think in Manchester as it’s a bigger city, you get a lot of spots but in Salford we could do with some more.”
Another student said: “A new takeaway would probably drain my bank account but depending on the menu I’d give it a try.” A new takeaway location looks set to catch the eyes and stomachs of locals especially within the large student demographic surrounding Poet’s Corner. Burger Stop is sure to be a much welcome addition to the Salford takeaway landscape.
