Salford City’s affiliated charity, Foundation 92, is asking for help to support families in need this Christmas.
For the fifth consecutive year, the charity will distribute presents across Salford and Greater Manchester to families and individuals who may not be able to purchase Christmas presents as part of its ‘December to Remember’ initiative.
Workers from the foundation will be joined by Salford City players to hand out more than 2,000 gifts to ensure every child and family across the region has a present to open on Christmas Day.
Foundation 92 will begin collecting donations from Monday 17 November, until Friday 5 December, across several strategically placed drop-off points and have called on Salfordians to contribute if they can.
B&M Stores has committed to donating an array of toys alongside a selection of other partners. Foundation 92 Founders will also visit some families taking part in the project.
Presents will be distributed between the 15th and 19th December across Salford ahead of Christmas Day. Donated gifts must be new and unwrapped. These gifts can be books, arts and crafts, chocolates, toys, or anything that can bring a smile to a member of the community this Christmas.
