Salford’s Bee Network trams have adopted a ‘Wicked’ theme this November in celebration of the upcoming fantasy musical film Wicked: For Good.
Lasting for the whole of November, Transport for Greater Manchester has jumped on the Wicked bandwagon by decorating the sides of their trams with the characters from the film.
‘Wicked: For Good’, lasting 2 hours and 17 minutes, is set to release next Friday, 21st November 2025 and will launch a multitude of advertisements across Salford and Greater Manchester.
The success of Wicked Part 1 last November saw the film become the highest-grossing film of 2024, with a total of £59.6 million in UK box office sales.
Featuring superstar actors such as Jonathan Bailey, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the London press tour is currently in progress until Friday 14th November, when it will continue in Singapore.
As fans anticipate the release, the last film ended with Elphaba, played by Cynthia Erivo, betraying the Wizard of Oz by exposing his false persona and flying away on a broomstick while singing ‘Defying Gravity’, one of the most popular songs in the musical.
The stage was set for Glinda, played by Ariana Grande, to become the new witch of Oz.
Wicked: For Good will release in cinemas next Friday, more information about the cinemas screening the film is availible here.
