No injuries have been reported.
Five men aged 20, 22, 24, 28 and 39 have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and remain in custody for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Johnson of our Salford district said: “We know how concerning incidents like this can be for those who live and work in the area.
“Since the incident was reported to us, we made significant headway, apprehending five men in relation to the discharge.
“While it’s fortunate that no one was injured, the use of firearms on our streets is completely unacceptable.”
Police previously said they thought the incident was a “targeted attack.”
GMP are still appealing for any information and footage that might assist their enquiries and have urged anyone who might be able to help the investigation to call 101 quoting log 791 of 07/10/2025.
