Salford City have announced the signing of forward Dan Udoh, who will be joining the club on a two-year deal.

The transfer day arrival saw Udoh join the club after spending a year with Wycombe Wanderers, where he scored 11 goals in 57 appearance.

During his time at Wycombe, he was also able to help the Buckinghamshire club secure a place in last season’s League One play-offs.

And with Salford having their ambitious focused on promotion this season, the addition of the 29 year-old forward will be vital for Karl Robinsons’ side.

Udoh will also offer a great deal of experience to the Ammies, as prior to his time at Adams Park, Udoh spent five seasons in League One with Shrewsbury Town.

At Shrewsbury he scored 38 goals, including the opener against Liverpool at Anfield in the FA Cup back in 2022.

After the announcement of his arrival to the club, he said: “This is a challenge I am looking forward to, it is a challenge that this club have dived head first with, signing players like myself from the league above, it obviously shows where they’re going as a club and as an ownership group.

“So it is exciting for me to be part of the team, and I just want to bring my best and add to what the team is already doing, especially with how fast they have started this season.”

He continued: “I am excited to be here, and buzzing to have got it over the line, it has been a long day but I am excited now to get cracking.

“The ambition of this club has drawn me here, and where the club wants to go to suits me. I am a family man, and this move suits my family, and when my family are happy then my football tends to go better, so I cannot complain.”

Udoh added: “As a centre-forward, I am an all-round centre-forward, I like to run in behind and link up play, and shoot left foot and right foot, so that is what I am looking to bring here.”
