Irlam and Cadishead - Damian GCSE

Irlam and Cadishead Academy celebrated yesterday after GCSEs were awarded across the country, with this year’s results cementing the strong progress the school has made.

Students of the academy celebrated their results, and showcased that they have been able to grow from strength to strength.

Among those students celebrating a raft of the very top grades was Noora, who achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 7.

Noora said: ““I’m really pleased with my results. The effort I put in has paid off and I’ve achieved exactly what I worked so hard for.”

As well as that Zara, who achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and one Level 2 Distinction, she added: “I’m so happy with my results – all the hard work has really paid off!”

And Damian, who achieved three grade 9s, three grade 8s, two grade 7s and one Level 2 Distinction.

He said: “I’m over the moon with my results and proud to have achieved three grade 9s. This gives me the best possible start towards my dream career in space engineering.”

Students receiving their GCSEs also included Nathan, who achieved three grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7 and on grade 6, and Millie, who achieved two grade 9s, four grade 8s, one grade 7, one grade 6 and one Level 2 Distinction.

Chris Leader, Principal at Irlam and Cadishead Academy, said: “I could not be prouder of what our students and staff have achieved this year – we have gone from strength to strength and are celebrating standout results for our school.=

“This is down to the incredible hard work of our young people, supported by the fantastic commitment of our staff, who always go the extra mile to help every young person succeed.”

Chris continued: “As a school, we are continuing to build something really special – a place at the heart of our community that families can be proud of, and where every student is given the very best opportunities, both in the classroom and beyond.

“We are excited to continue with this work over the months and years to come for the benefit of future generations of students.”
