Lowry audiences are set to be entertained, as the musical comedy the Addams Family starring singer songwriter Alexandra Burke begins this week.
The artist and actor, best known for winning the fifth series of the talent television show The X Factor in 2008 will play Morticia Addams on stage.
The national tour of the musical comedy will take to the stage of the Lowry from tonight (August 12) and will entertain audiences until August 16.

The musical comedy from Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (writers of the multi award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys), will be able to excite the Lowry audiences.
Especially with the music and lyrics written by Tony Award-nominated Andrew Lippa, with all the characters based on those created by Charles Addams.
The story will follow Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, when she is all grown up, having a shocking secret that only Gomez knows.
As she falls in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family – and will follow a tale of secrets and laughs until the two

families meet for a fateful dinner with hilarious consequences.
And the heartwarming comedy will see the Alexandra Burke, joined on stage by a strong cast of famed actors such as Lesley Joseph.
Lesley who is best known for her roles in Birds of a Feather, Young Frankenstein, and Sister Act will play the character Grandma.
Whilst Clive Rowe will also be joining the star-studded cast playing Uncle Fester – the experience actor will be taking to the stage with audiences knowing him from his work in The Prince of Egypt, Sister Act, and A Christmas Carol.
As well as being joined by Ricardo Afonso as Gomez Addams, Lauren Jones as Wednesday Addams, and Nicholas McLean as Pugsley Addams.
Lowry audiences will able to watch this musical comedy from August 12 until Saturday 16 August, and tickets to the show will cost guests from £27 (limited variety may apply)– with more information being found here.
