Sounds ‘Round Town’ reaches Eccles this weekend, as part of a summer packed with music, art, workshops and parades.
The free summer experiences are part of several of the city’s most loved events, following on from Weaste Pride earlier on this month.
The summer experience will include Eccles Fest on Saturday 26 July, and Irlam & Cadishead Festival on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Sounds ‘Round Town has done the business at three successful Salford events this summer, and the fun will continue, following the already successful Sounds From The Other City in May, the 20th anniversary of the multi-venue festival, and the Swinton Sounds hosted in June.
Eccles Festival – Barton Lane, Eccles
Salford residents will be welcomed to the Eccles Festival on Saturday 26 July.
Hosted at the Eccles Recreation Centre, from 10am to 4pm, guests will be able to enjoy a day of unmissable fun.
Activities include face painting, balloon modelling, demonstration rugby, bowling, tennis and wheelchair bacha, plus Lego sessions, health advice, tattoo art, and £1 swims at Eccles Leisure Centre.
Vintage police vehicles will be on display and Walk The Plank will host craft-based workshops for all ages.
Residents will also be able to experience a parade led by Sounds ‘Round Town, where they will be blasting out tunes from their mobile DJ SRT Bike.
Irlam and Cadishead Festival – Prince’s Park

The Irlam and Cadishead Community festival will also return for its 75th anniversary and will be looking to bring people together once again.
The free festival will be hosted from Friday 22 August until Monday 25 August with market stalls, live music, sports, street theatre, free activities, a firework display, and more.
Sounds ‘Round Town will be joining the party on Sun 24th and Mon 25th August (Bank Holiday) with an interactive marching band parade.
For the 75th anniversary, they will host an amazing firework display on the evening of Monday 25th August at 9pm – a memory that lost before COVID.
