Salford Red Devils have confirmed that they have secured a double loan deal from Warrington Wolves.
The Red Devils have signed Dan Russell and Tom Whitehead from the Wolves, who will be hoping to add and improve the squad.
The additions will see Russell join on a season-long loan and Whitehead on a month-to-month loan deal.
As part of the deal, Sam Stone – who signed for the Club in late 2022 – has completed a switch to Warrington.
Russell will join the club, as a back-rower, and had made 10 appearances for Warrington across the 2025 Betfred Super League and Challenge Cup competitions.
He will also be able to add some experience to the team, as the 29-year-old has played 12 international games for Papua New Guinea.
And with his size and power he also enjoyed NRL experience with the St. George Illawarra Dragons, where he made eight appearances, including a debut against the Canberra Raiders in 2023.

The arrival of Whitehead will also be exciting and another addition to the squad.
The Saddleworth Rangers junior is also a back-rower who has made ten Super League appearances for the Wire following his senior debut against Salford in 2022.
Since then, he has enjoyed loan spells with numerous Betfred Championship sides; including Halifax Panthers, London Broncos and Widnes Vikings.
Following the move the club said: “Everyone at the Club would like to give Dan and Tom a warm welcome and look forward to seeing them put on the red shirt very soon.”
Both players are expected to join Reds ahead of Sunday’s Round 15 meeting with Hull FC at the Salford Community Stadium.
The fixture against Hull will be an important game for the Red Devils as they will look to bounce-back once again from a disappointing defeat to St Helens.
Hull FC currently sit sixth in the division, and will be a tough challenge for the new arrivals – but a win for the Red Devils will see them move off of the bottom.
