Salford Red Devils will be hoping for a win this weekend against Hull KR as they travel to Newcastle for Magic Weekend.
The Magic Weekend will take place on Saturday, 3 May. The Red Devils will play at St James’ Park, where they hope to win.
Paul Rowley’s side, who have only secured one victory this season, will be looking for a ‘magic’ performance this weekend.
The Red Devils will also see the return of Ethan Ryan and Chris Hankinson, who will be back in the squad for Saturday’s Magic Weekend clash with Hull KR.
However, Salford will be going up against a Hull KR side that are currently sat top of the league.
Hull KR will walk into the game with only one defeat this league season, and a stunning victory over Leeds Rhinos, winning 20-14.
The challenge will also be more of a challenge for the Red Devils, who are coming off the back of a defeat to Leigh Leopards, losing 28-6.
The solo try during the fixture will be a worry for travel fans, but Head Coach Paul Rowley reiterated his gratitude to the Salford faithful for their incredible support during difficult times.
Rowley said: “I say it every week, they’ve been great, they’ve been fantastic, and weirdly enjoying the chaos in a roundabout way.

“I think when you let yourself go, get lost in the moment and enjoy the small wins – whether that be a try or a big tackle – then there’s a lot to enjoy about it as well.”
He continued: “Obviously, the journey is difficult and if you overthink it, then you talk yourself into being a bit down, but I just think the positive mindset of the supporters, the players and the staff is contagious, and we’re all very defiant.
“Like I said, we’ll celebrate the small win. We might be a little bit crazy in how we go about that, but we’re enjoying the support of our fans, that’s for sure.”
The Red Devils will be the second fixture of the Magic Weekend, and their fixture against Hull KR will kick off at St James’ Park at 5:15 pm.
