Salford City prepare for challenge against Barrow - Salford City

Salford City will be travelling to Carlisle with a huge number of supporters after selling out their away allocation as hope to secure a playoff position.

The Ammies who were able to secure three points against promotion rivals Colchester winning 4-1, were able to give themselves the advantage heading into the final day.

Salford who sit in seventh, the final playoff position, are currently separated by two points between seventh and tenth, with the last remaining fixture of the season requiring a win to confirm their position.

And with the Ammies set to play an already relegated Carlisle this weekend, Salford will be taking large numbers of fans in the hopes of seeing their side enter the playoffs.

The travelling fans have sold out their allocation of 400 fans, but will be hoping for more as they aim to push their side over the line.

Salford City shared on social media: “Our initial allocation of match tickets for Carlisle is sold out, we have requested more and will put these on sale online and at the ticket office when they arrive.

“Thank you for your support so far.”

The Ammies will be hoping to right the wrongs of the previous playoff attempt that saw the club miss out on a trip to Wembley after a tough defeat to rivals Stockport County losing 3-1 on penalties.

And with Grimsby and Colchester dropping points, it has allowed Karl Robinsons’ side to sneak into the playoff positions – with 90 minutes of football being the decider to know if there campaign is over or still has a maximum of three fixtures.
