Salford police will be conducting patrols along a popular canal towpath in Boothstown following reports of a man ‘hiding in the bushes’.
Salford GMP shared on social media yesterday (Wednesday23 April): “Early this morning Police received reports of a suspicious male hiding in bushes on the canal towpath in Boothstown, he was described as a tall, Black male aged in his 20’s.”
Following the reports the officers attended the area; however, they did confirm that a male was not found in the area. And patrols continued throughout the day, “to provide reassurance to the public.”
They continued to share: “We have noted a number of Facebook posts referencing a male acting suspiciously however have received very little information from the public.
“We would urge everyone to report any suspicious activity or offences in this area.”
