Three creative companies have taken residency in MediaCity’s new Content Studio following its successful launch earlier this year.
The Content Studio that launched in February 2025, but will now be welcoming the trailblazing companies ThunderHawk, Krygon Studios, and ImmersivEye.
The companies will take residency in the new state-of-the-art facility as they join the growing and emerging talent in the region.
One of the companies, ThunderHawk was founded by Salford University graduate, Matt McHugh, and is an innovative animation studio that thrives at the intersection of motion design, 3D, VFX and AI.
ThunderHawk has firmly established itself as one of the North West’s premier motion studios – with clients such as Manchester United, Hasbro and JD Sports.
The plan for McHugh is to continue to push the boundaries and reinforce the status of the northwest’s status in digital media.
The animation company will also be joined by Krygon Studios, a Manchester-based digital art and animation company specialising in high-end character animation and 3D art production.
With 15 years of industry experience and led by Bradley Harris, the studio delivers work across a diverse range of sectors including AAA games, TV, film, and virtual production.
And already working with globally recognised projects and franchises such as Disney, UFC, the MSG Sphere and Ghost Town Games – they will be hoping to continue that success in MediaCity.
The Content Studio will also be host to award-winning director and creative technologist Steve Moyler, from ImmersivEye.
The innovative studio, ImmersivEye specialises in AI-driven filmmaking, virtual production, motion graphics, and immersive storytelling.
With a passion for blending artistry with technology, Moyler’s vision for ImmersivEye at MediaCity includes pioneering new forms of digital storytelling and collaborating with fellow creatives to shape the future of media.
Ahead of the arrival of the three creative companies, Naomi McCardle, Content Studio Manager said: “It is fantastic we have three incredible creatives embedded in this space.
