Salford families are set to be entertained by the brand-new stage adaptation of The Baddies this May at the Lowry.
The adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s smash-hit 2022 story will take to the stage from Friday 2 May until Sunday 4 May.
Guests of the Lowry will be able to enjoy the very worst Baddies in the world, from a witch, a troll, and an ancient ghost.
This family experience will allow guests to see the Baddies roar, spook and cast spells to try and scare a girl out of her wits.

Directed and choreographed by Katie Beard, and with songs by Joe Stilgoe (Zog and The Flying Doctors), the stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s book will be a laugh-out-loud riot for all the family.
With even Julia Donaldson herself seeing the show herself at its Horsham stop of the tour and said: “The Baddies is terrific fun and bursting with energy.”
She continued: “I am delighted that The Baddies has been brought so wickedly to life on stage!
“It is wonderful to be working once again with Freckle Productions, who’ve done such fun and inventive things with Zog and Stick Man and my other characters over the years.

Julia added: “I’m particularly happy that Joe Stilgoe, with his gift for catchy tunes and clever lyrics, has written the songs for the show. This is a great night at the theatre for kids of all ages.”
The stage show is set to be produced by Freckle Productions, an imaginative storytelling for children and the team behind smash -hit stage hits including Stick Man, Tabby McTat, Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales, Zog and the Flying Doctors.
Jennifer Sutherland from Freckle Productions said: “Freckle are thrilled at the response to The Baddies and are excited to be touring it around the UK in 2025.
“It has been amazing working with David Greig and Jackie Crichton to transport The Baddies onto the stage.”
Tickets for the show will cost theatre goers £19, and they will be able to watch this production live at the Lowry from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th May 2025 – for more information visit here.
