Salford residents will be welcomed to laugh at the Lowry as they host a very special comedy night this May.
The comedy night, Live at Lowry is offering 500 free tickets to Salford residents as a part of their 25-year celebrations.
Residents will be welcomed into the theatre to ‘Laugh for Less’ on May 7 2025, as the Lowry want to say ‘thank you’ to Salford locals for their contribution for the last 25 years.
The comedy night will also allow Salfordians to catch some of the nation’s best comedy talent, all under one roof in an evening full of fun and laughs.
Comedians Phil Wang, John Kearns, Sophie Duker, and the dynamic duo Flo & Joan will take to the stage with Dan Nightingale set to host the show.
Throughout the night, audiences can expect an evening packed with energy, charm, and non-stop silliness – with all proceeds from this performance being used to support Lowry’s incredible work in the surrounding communities.

Ahead of the performance, Julia Fawcett O.B.E., Chief Executive of Lowry, said: “Our Lowry was one of the very first initiatives launched when The Lowry opened—created especially for Salford residents.
“It’s always been a way for us to recognise just how important our local audiences and communities are to us.”
Julia continued: “Over the past 25 years, Our Lowry has provided access to free and discounted tickets, helping thousands of people enjoy performances and creative experiences in their own city.
“But it’s been about more than just tickets—we’ve hosted events, run creative participation activities, and created memorable experiences like the incredible People’s Premiere of War Horse.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer 500 Our Lowry members the chance to be the first to apply for these free tickets, to join us at Live at Lowry, and to help us celebrate our birthday,” Julia added.
The first to hear about the opportunity for tickets will be from the Lowry database, Our Lowry, which is a ticket scheme specifically for Salford residents, but following this anyone with a Salford postcode can apply for the tickets.
Residents are encouraged to enter for tickets before Wednesday 9 April, with 250 people being randomly selected to receive two free tickets each, after postcode eligibility checks.
Those who wish to apply for free tickets to the show can do so here.
