A café located within The Empty Space, a local community venue and theatre based in Salford, is offering affordable vegan and vegetarian options.

Situated close to the MediaCityUK the theatre offers guests a variety plays, comedies, musicals, but have a cafe that offers affordable meat-free options for guests.

The local café opened in 2023 is owned by Jo Fisher, and offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, with their specialties being full vegan breakfast with plant-based sausage and scrabbled toast.

Jo said: “We do deals on a Monday. And Monday, we do a deal every day, a five-pound deal, so the price is quite competitive.

“We offer a full vegan breakfast with plant-based sausage scrambled toasters that you never get anywhere, and we do that as a giant.”

Jo continued: “We do plant-based sausage, plant-based cheese and we don’t charge any extra for plant milk either.”

As well as providing a vegan and vegetarian breakfast and lunch variety, The Empty Eats’ menu is inspired by Asian Cuisine, as the café continued: “Our chef is Malaysian, and our barista is Taiwanese, we do kimchi bowls, protein bowls with tofu and gyozas.

“We do a sandwich selection small bites, which include homemade kimchi, homemade focaccia bread, and then the vegan ones are like vegan cream cheese, and the usual, vegetarian sausage rolls and cocktail sausage. Everything comes with tortilla crisp or crisps.”

The closest bus stop to the Empty Space is located along South Langworthy Road, with the number 33 and number 50 bus stopping at the nearest stop on Dakota Avenue.

The closest Metrolink station is Broadway, which is a five-minute walk away from the Theatre, and guests will be able to book a table at the local café, and check out their exciting menu here.
