Salford YouTuber and Twitch stream Angry Ginge’s six-aside beat a team managed by Arsenal legends 5-2 to go top of the new Baller League.
The Baller League competition kicked off this past weekend, and saw teams compete managed by ex-professional footballers, including the likes of John Terry, Alan Shearer, and Gary Lineker, as well as social media influencers such as Angry Ginge, KSI and Chunkz.
The competition that has been described as the “New era of football’, which is a 12-week league with six matches every week.
The games contain 15-minute halves, where teams will be reduced to three players in the final three minutes of every half – during this time goalkeepers also can’t use their hands and goals from long distance count as double.
And for the first weekend of the competition, it began with Angry Ginge’s side ‘Yanited FC’ playing against N5 FC – a team managed by Arsenal legends Jens Lehmann, Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg.

And despite the experienced professional’s knowledge of the game Angry Ginge, otherwise known as Morgan Burtwistle, was able to win the game 7-2.
Angry Ginge, from Eccles, was also able to secure the win against the Arsenal legends team even after turning down the opportunity to use former Tottenham Hotspur player Jermaine Defoe as a ‘wildcard’.
Immediately after the win, Morgan posted a video on his TikTok account, where he praised his teams’ efforts, he said: “The football we played was fantastic, we set the tone. We are top of the league, and once again Yanited beat Arsenal. Next week I will be streaming it all over on Twitch.”
And despite the success for Angry Ginge and his Yanited FC, the league is getting mixed reactions on social media with fans on X questioning the competition, they said: “I wonder if more people watched ballers league than the England game last night.”
“If ballers league somehow renews for a second season I am cancelling my Sky Sports subscription.”
Nonetheless, the first night of the Baller League was successful and the Salford-born YouTube sits at the top of the league table.
