Residents in Salford are set to be entertained by a spring concert hosted at Eccles Town Hall this March.
The Eccles Borough Band will be returning with a new concert for residents, which they will be set to perform on Saturday 29 March.
Guests of the concert will be able to enjoy traditional British based music, as well as hearing pieces from around the world taking influence from New Zealand and other countries.

The musical director is Mareika Gray, who has been conducting the band for 15 years said: “There’s going to be a real mix of tunes in there, some things you’ll recognise and a new things as well.”
The band itself was formed in 1886 and have been rehearsing in Eccles town centre since 1920 and have been putting on concerts every three to four months in the town hall, each with a different theme.
The Eccles Borough Band has a range of ages, with their oldest member Val playing in the band for 50 years – allowing residents the opportunity to experience a community inspired band.
Ahead of the spring concert, Jonathan Squibbs, a member of the band said: “It is an opportunity to bring the community together, putting on a free event so that people can enjoy the music, the arts.
“If you’ve never been before, then turn up see what it’s like and you might be surprised.”
Jonathon continued to mention that events like allow people in the community to come together through music, having the opportunity to meet new people and life-long friends.
The free concert will be open to residents from 2:30pm, with doors opening at 2pm, as they “put on an afternoon of music and entertainment for the local community.”
And although the event will be free to attend, the band will be welcoming donations – with more information about the Spring Concert here.
