Kelly N'mai was in fine form for Salford City vs Crewe - Salford City

Salford City wing-back Kelly N’Mai has been named in the League Two team of the week after his goal against Crewe Alexandra last weekend.

The 20-year-old has featured in the team of the week once again after scoring two goals in two games.

The young Salford forward was able to score the important equaliser in the 2-2 draw against Swinton Town.

And Kelly N’Mai was able to put on another impressive performance on the left-hand side, as he was able to break the deadlock in the draw against Crewe.

The young Dutchman was able to latch on to Ben Woodburn’s defence-splitting pass taking it round beat Crewe keeper Filip Marschall to the ball and slot home.

However, despite N’Mai’s performance Salford were held to another 1-1 draw – when they were pegged back 12 minutes later.

And despite the team now falling to 11th in the league table – however, the 20-year-old winger wasn’t to blame.

In the fixture, N’Mai created four chances throughout the game and his impressive performance earned him a 8.66 rating on WhoScored.com, making him their man of the match.

And he continues to display his talents at the Ammies, extending his goal tally to five this season in the league – and has also been able to share the goals with three assists.

The Ammies will be back in action tonight, as they host Chesterfield and look to return to winning ways to reignite their playoff push.

The visiting side sit 15th in the table and had been through a bad patch themselves, picking up their first win in five in their previous game with a 2-1 win over Newport.

The reverse fixture saw Salford held to a 1-1 draw by the Spireites, with N’Mai also grabbing a goal.

And Karl Robinson will be hoping that N’Mai will be able to bring much of the same tonight and inspire the Ammies to get three points.
