“We dropped it down to four nights, we wanted to fill the hall and condense it down it will make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

“And hopefully less nights will allow us to be full of energy and give audiences the best shows that we can.”

The society is over 60 years old, and Ashley shared how he was able to get involved in SLADS, as he continued: “I joined 15 years ago, I did it for five years but then when I got a job things got in the way, but it wasn’t until after COVID that I came back as a member, and have become

“And in the role, I have been able to produce the three previous shows to this one.”

“We have so many members, and some that are not on the stage, from costume to lighting to the set and the front of house. And everyone is so important and helpful.”

And with the growing influence from social media, Ashley continued to speak about the importance of youth in the performance of Legally Blonde the Musical, he added: “For me it is great that we have so many younger members, and we just want them involved.

“The society is more than 60 years old, and we want to integrate the younger generation. We want to pull ourselves in to the 21st century and have the younger people to push us in the right direction.”

The not for profit community theatre group will be also offering guests the chance to win free tickets – which can be entered here.
