Tram passengers can expect a reduced tram service with the Eccles line terminating at Deansgate-Castlefield until March 16.
No tram services will operate between St Peter’s Square to Market Street/Piccadilly Gardens, with engineering work taking place on the Metrolink lines at York Street, Manchester City Centre.

Passengers have complained about the reduction to the Eccles tram service.
One commuter, Oliver, 17, said: “I can’t get straight to Piccadilly Station once I’ve finished college. I have to get three trams to get home instead of just the one.”

Salford resident Tracie, 19, felt “frustrated” by the tram line being cut short.
She said: “I had to take the bus, which are really unreliable. When the bus didn’t turn up, I had to get an Uber, which made it very expensive.”
Trams will resume their regular service pattern from Monday March 17.
