England and Premier League legend Ian Wright was spotted this weekend at Salford City’s fixture against Bradford City.
The former BBC Match of the Day pundit paid a visit to the Peninsula Stadium, visiting the club during their 2-1 defeat on Saturday 1 March.
Ian Wright, visited the stadium and the club of Salford City owner Gary Neville, who has become a close friend through ITV pundit coverage, and featuring on Stick to Football alongside Roy Keane, and Jill Scott.
The visit to the stadium follows his gift from Jill Scott, as the former Crystal Palace and Arsenal forward received a Salford City jumper in December on The Overlap podcast.
With Wright saying: “It’s funny because I’m sure we’ll speak about it but I want to go and watch more games.”
Throughout his visit, Ian Wright was able to catch up with follow Premier League legend, and now director of football and co-owner Ryan Giggs.
The pair were pictured embracing one another on the side of the pitch, with Salford City head coach also imaged next to the former Arsenal forward.
Wright and Karl Robinson were also able to reconnect and share memories, with the duo working together whilst Robinson was manager of MK Dons.

Additionally in 2018, Robinson brought in Wright to help train his misfiring strikers whilst he was in charge at Oxford United.

With another fan calling for the club to “sign him up.”
However, the visit from Ian Wright was one of the only positive sparks of the weekend, as Salford City were unfortunately beaten by a 94th minute from the Bantams.
And away from the eyes of the Premier League legend, Salford will be back in action tonight in League Two as they play away against an inform Swindon Town.
The Ammies remain in the hunt for the playoff places, despite three straight losses which have left them sitting ninth in the table.
