As International Women’s Day approaches, plans across Salford are emerging to celebrate women’s creativity, skill, and contributions to the arts.
The event will be hosted by Salford City College and partners, which will aim to create an environment for artistic expression, networking, and meaningful debates among women in creative fields.
The creative celebration will be the first of many across Salford for International Women’s Day including, women in business, and women in construction.
Guests will be able to attend the free event on Monday 3 March, at the Arts Let Loose CIC, 67-73 The Parade in Swinton.
And the event will take place from 11am to 3pm – and will include several hands-on workshops that will be led by outstanding women in the arts ahead of International Women’s Day on Saturday 8 March.
Throughout the several workshops, it will highlight the influence that women have had in the arts and display their accomplishments, while also encouraging a feeling of community and cooperation.
The event will also include interactive workshops where prominent female artists will share their knowledge in a variety of areas and expertise.
Those in attendance will also have the chance to network with other guests; allowing one another to meet artists, industry experts, and fans of art in a welcoming and supportive setting.
Inspiring talks will take place and focus on the role of women in the arts and their representation, while also breaking down barriers in the creative sectors.
The event will function as more than a celebration and serve as a platform for empowering women and hope to inspire the next generation of female artists, as well as building relationships, and promoting creative expression.
