The Girl on the Train at the Lowry is a wonderfully adapted performance of Paula Hawkins novel, leaving audiences on the edge of your seat.
From start to finish audiences are taken through the amazing production, following the story of Rachel Watson played by Giovanna Fletcher.
A character who dreams for a different life – and audiences are shown how her only escape is through the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love.
Or so it appears.
Throughout the performance at the Lowry, audiences are taken on a deep police investigation – having to endure the various twists in this exciting thriller.
Audience members who do attend, or may have missed out will be familiar with the story through the internationally successful film – but this 2025 production directed by Loveday Ingram was a truly mesmerizing showcase of talent – constantly being wowed by the thrilling and gripping performances.
I would honestly welcome to join in the experience at the Lowry, as you will certainly not be disappointed with the theatrics – as the investigation on the murder of Megan Hipwell plays out.
Guests of the Lowry will also be entertained with Giovanna Fletcher’s character, who becomes both a witness and even a suspect in this thrilling mystery.
And as audiences join her, she faces bigger and more daunting revelations – and as both her and audince intrigue grows it is a true testament to the fantastic cast that they have to show on stage.
I would welcome anyone to attend the show and watch it at the Lowry or anywhere else on the tour if you get the chance as it is truly an unmissable event.
The Girl on the Train is running at Lowry from the 11 Feb until tomorrow evening (February 15), and you can find more information about the show here.
