Salford residents are set to experience temporarily changed store opening times, as the Pendleton Way Tesco is set to undergo improvement work.
The Tesco Extra on Pendleton Way is making stores changes, with the intention of striving for a modern and enhanced shopping experience.
The supermarket began its improvement work from February 10 and will continue until 17th April 2025.
The store has shared that because of the development plans that the store will change opening hours throughout the seven-week period.
Tesco’s will be changing its opening hours because of this to Monday to Thursday from 6:00am – 10:00pm, Friday and Saturday will be open from 6:00am until 12:00am.
The store will also be open on Sunday from 11:00am and will close its doors at 5:00 PM.

Plans are expected to last for several weeks, and a Tesco spokesperson added: “Our Salford Extra is currently undergoing a refresh to improve the shopping experience for customers.
“The store remains open, with slightly amended hours, while the works progress.
“The refurbishment works include; an improved look and feel of the store with new fruit and veg and bakery departments alongside a refreshed health and beauty department.
“Works will also improve the car park and petrol filling station alongside enhanced signage throughout the store. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by these works.”
The improvement works will mean there will be new installations throughout the store to see in the coming weeks and will include a new bakery department.
As well as the developments to that, there will also be improved signage around the store, a broad range of season products and redesign of the stores snacking layout.
This week, they have started to move the health and beauty departments, to make more room for baby aisles.
And Items such as baby food and nappies are promised to be appearing more as the week continues.
On the Tesco website, they have said, “We apologise for any inconveniences caused whilst we improve your store,” assuring customers that the temporary disruptions will consequently lead to a better overall shopping experience.
