Salford Red Devils have advanced into the fourth round of the Challenge Cup with a dominant second-half performance against Midlands Hurricanes.
Salford Red Devils, who have now secured ownership with a consortium led by businessman Dario Berta, had to compete without a full squad due to selection restrictions.
Despite the restrictions, the Red Devils were able to show their dominance in the second half, allowing them to secure a next round spot winning 10-46.
The away trip saw them face a Birmingham-based side, who have been turning heads with their recent gritty performances in the lower tiers of rugby league.
And despite the threat of an underdog story for the League One side, the Red Devils scored first.

Winger Nene MacDonald darted across the pitch to put the ball down for his first try of 2025.
And with Chris Hankinson kicking his first of nine conversion attempts through, Salford looked comfortable.
However, the hope of an easy victory was halted as Aiden Roden scored a try for the Hurricanes, battling his way through the defensive line.
And with Jake Sweeting converting his first of two attempts, the score was level.
Salford Red Devils retaliated with another first half try when Hankinson barged his way through after a quick move to score.
He converted again, to give the Red Devils the further advantage – and despite the Hurricanes scoring through a Matty Chrimes try, they were unable to equalise in the kick.

The half-time lead (10-12) soon widened with braces from Macdonald, Jayden Nikorima and Deon Cross – allowing the away side to take a commanding second half lead.
And a try from Esan Marsters, who signed from the Huddersfield Giants, assured the side’s advance into the next round.
Following the impressive second half, Paul Rowley’s side will be looking forward to the opening fixture in the Betfred Super League against St Helens this weekend.
Marc Sneyd, Kallum Watkins and Tim Lafai will all be available following the selection restrictions being lifted after the takeover.
Fans will also learn the identity of their Challenge Cup fourth round opponents when the draw takes place at half time.
