Swinton Lionesses have welcomed a local business as a new shirt sponsor in the upcoming 2025 season.
The new sponsor, Smarter Home 4U a home improvements and renovation company, are set to sponsor the team this year on the back of the shirt.
The decision to sponsor the Lionesses came after the local business sponsored the match ball for the Swinton Lions last season.
Rebecca Marsden, Head of Administration said that it’s a “very proud moment for us, to see our logo on the shirt.
“It’s a local club, and its nice to get involved and support these things.”
But not only deciding to sponsor the team, Smarter Homes 4U will be sponsoring three of the players this campaign.
The sponsored players are captain Michelle Davis, second-row Sammi Simpson and winger Lexi Smith will be backed individually.
The partnership will provide a “golden opportunity” to the grassroot sport by offering additional funding to both the team and the players.
Rebecca said: “I’ve got two daughters and Tony has two granddaughters, it’s lovely for them to be able to see women in sport.”
The Swinton Lionesses will be playing their first game of the season in 23 March 2025 against the Bradford Bulls at 4:30pm, where the brand new shirt sponsor will be on full display.
