Swinton Ladies given with permission

Swinton Ladies have extended their impressive run of form after beating 10-player Eccles United Women 13-0. 

The dominant victory from the Swinton Ladies securing their third consecutive victory, beating Bury FC Women’s Reserves and Tiki Taka Tiki Taka Bolton Ladies.

The Swinton Ladies were given the advantage of their local rivals, when Eccles United Women were down to 10 players within the first 10 minutes of the game – with Mia Pemberton being shown red.

The one player advantage was able to been taken advantage of as Swinton were able to lead 6-0 before half time.

Eccles United side were completely dismantled, with Anna Broadie and Caroline Price scoring four each, and other goals coming from Jess Rawling, Bliss Molyneaux, Kayleigh Prince and Chantelle Partington.

The victory saw the Swinton Ladies collect their seventh consecutive home victory, and were able to extend their position in second place in the division – only two points behind leaders Reddish North End Women Pinks.

Following the game, the Swinton Ladies Twitter (X) account said: “What a game! We came out strong, stayed focused and delivered a stellar performance.

“Every player stepped up and it was a complete team effort from front to back. The hard work is paying off, but we’re not stopping here”.

The defeat for Eccles United women will keep the side in 8th position, only managing two wins in the last six fixtures.

Swinton Ladies and Eccles United Women are now separated by 16 points in the FA Women’s National League Division One North.

The hammering that Eccles endured will have to see a quick recovery with the local rivals set to meet once again on February 2 2025.
