Salford residents are invited to join the birthday celebrations of the CBeebies icon Bing, at the Lowry.
The iconic children’s character comes to Salford after a successful spell of shows across the Netherlands and Poland.
The show runs from Thursday 20 February to Sunday 23 February, for Bing’s 10th birthday.
Guests will be able to join in the festivities featuring puppetry, original songs and music, especially made for little ones.
The character Bing comes from the award-winning CBeebies television programme ‘Bing and friends’, that was first aired in 2014.
The decade–long show is based on the books by British writer and illustrator Ted Dewan.
Bing is said to provide mental, emotional, and social developmental tools to support children.
The programme highlights the ups and downs of pre-school life, navigating everyday situations.
The show has been streamed more than one billion times on BBC Iplayer, and has won awards, including the Writer’s Guild award for Best Children’s TV Episode.
Bing will be joined by his friends on stage, with the cast including Lola Busari, Nathan Guy, Emma Hilts, Vinnie Monachello, and David Tudor.
The show’s producer Martin Ronan says that the show is “guaranteed to be full of all the excitement, expectation and heightened emotions that you would expect to find at a young child’s birthday party.”
Tickets to the live Birthday shows start at £20.50, purchase and additional information are available here.
