A Salford brewery has taken a leap across the ocean to China with its signature craft beers.
Since its move to Salford, the company has exported beers to places such as Italy, Japan and now China.
The company’s sale director Paul Plowman said: “We sent 3 pallets a couple of weeks ago that are going to go to 18 different Chinese cities.
“It’s the first time Marble will be available in China.”
The company already exports to Japan and to European countries includingItaly, Finland, Sweden, Belgium and Holland.
“China is definitely the quite exciting one for us, because China is actually currently the fastest growing craft beer market in the world. So it’s quite good to be there. Hopefully it will do well and keep growing,” Paul added.
The brewery origintated in Manchester’s Grade II listed Ancoats pub, The Marble Arch’, built in 1888.
Its rise in popularity meant an expansion in 2019 into Salford, where its brewery is now based.
The entry into China means a lot to the company as described on X: “We’re chuffed to announce that Marble Beers can be found across 18 cities in China!
“We’ve teamed up with North Isle Trading to help us distribute our core classics and big specials from Bejing to Shanghai and beyond!”
Some of the 18 cities in China that are recieving some of the craft beer include Bejing, Changsha, Chengdu, Dalian, Guangzhou and Qingdao.
