Salford face a challenge to progress to the fourth round of the Cup, facing the current Premier League champions – and the travelling fans will be hoping to see a ‘giant killing’.
And this will be in the minds of both players and fans, as Guardiola’s squad are experiencing their worst run of form since the manager took over which could give Salford supporters some hope.
However, it will be a difficult fixture for the team with Salford reaching the third round for the first ever time, compared to Manchester City who have won seven Premier League titles.
The match will be played at the Etihad stadium and for those who can’t get tickets, the match will be broadcast live on BBC1.
