Salford City will return to league action tonight as they take on Harrogate Town at the Peninsula Stadium.
The Ammies will have to settle down from their excitement from last night after finding out they will face Manchester City in the FA Cup third round.
Following the draw, the pressure will be on the Ammies to perform well tonight and build up their form before facing the Premier League Champions.
Both teams are matched on 21 points in the table so far as Salford City sit 15th in League Two, two places above Harrogate Town.
The two sides will come into this game after winning this weekend in the FA Cup second round, with the Ammies beating League Two rivals Cheltenham Town 2-0 with goals from strikers Francis Okoronkwo and Cole Stockton.
Harrogate Town also won their game against non-league Gainsborough Trinity 1-0 with a goal from midfielder Dean Cornelius.
The Ammies have been successful against The Sulphurites in their recent fixtures – since the first meeting in 2016, Salford City have won eight of the sixteen fixtures, with six draws and two defeats.
The last meeting between the two sides was back in April, where the pair drew 2-2 at the Peninsula. The goalscorers that day were Callum Hendry, who now plays at MK Dons and Ryan Watson.
A win tonight could elevate the Ammies as high as tenth in the table, as the club chases promotion to the third tier of English football. However, inconsistencies both on-pitch under head coach Karl Robinson and off-pitch in the hierarchy have prevented progression for the Ammies.
Salford City have confirmed that they will be without Josh Austerfield after he was stretchered off on Saturday, and there is no update on the fitness of Ryan Watson and Hakeeb Adelakun. Dan Chesters remains out for this fixture.
Salford City FC vs Harrogate Town will kick off at 19:45 tonight at the Peninsula Stadium.
