A Salford church was able to create a festive atmosphere this weekend, as parishioners hosted a Christmas fair.
The event welcomed visitors and families from the community to St John’s church, Vicarage Road, Irlam, to enjoy arts and crafts stalls, cakes and various other activities.
The event was very busy, and saw a great reaction from the public.
Reverend Rob Jackson said: “We were busting at the doors. It was very well attended.@
The cake stall sold out, and his wife’s arts and crafts table was busy all day.
Rev Jackson is hoping even more local people will attend the church’s next Christmas event – an open air community carol service on December 12.
The event will take place at 6pm outside the leisure centre, with everyone welcome to take part in the service,
All the local churches are organising this outdoor event.
The Rev Jackson said: “The brass band are playing, and there will be carol singing outdoors together.”
