A new popular Foundation coffee house branch has opened its doors inside a former bank on Chapel Street in Salford.
The site, on Chapel Street, was previously transformed into Soul Bank – UK’s first stillness centre which offers meditation classes.
The centre, which opened its doors in July, has now welcomed a new addition – a popular coffee chain well known in Manchester.
Foundation Coffee House already has four other sites in and around Manchester city centre and is famed for its coffee and collaboration with Origin Coffee Roasters.
The new takeaway branch opened Monday (November 25) inside the SoulBank venue, aiming for a more ‘chill’ and ‘personal’ approach.
Due to the history of the bank, formerly a Williams Deacon Bank, it is Grade-II listed; becoming ‘a little restoration project’ for Foundation Coffee House. There are parts of the interior, constructed in the 1800s, that cannot be changed due to its listed status.
Open seven days a week rom 7.30 am, the venue is giving away their first 50 coffees for free.
If you miss out on complimentary coffee, expect to pay £3 for hot drinks and £4 for other specialty drinks.
Though pastries and coffees are being sold, a full menu is in the works and will be available soon, potentially along an espresso bar.
