Salford police have confirmed that a missing woman in her 80s was found dead this morning.
GMP have confirmed that Ann, whose surname hasn’t been confirmed, was found deceased this morning (November 28).
The 82-year-old woman was last seen in Worsley walking down Kingsway towards Walkden Road on Tuesday November 26, at around 1.40pm.
Following Ann’s disappearance, the police issued appeals to help trace her as they became “increasingly concerned.”
Ann was last seen wearing a light blue jumper with stars or snowflakes on, and a brown gilet.
She was also wearing dark grey checked trousers, sandals and was carrying a black bag.
Following the news of Ann’s death, a spokesperson from Salford GMP said: “Thank you for those who shared our missing appeal for Ann from Salford.
“Tragically it is sad news after she was found deceased this morning. Her family have asked for privacy at this extremely difficult time.”
