Attention will turn to the Peninsula Stadium as Salford City will look to return to winning ways as they take on Bromley this weekend.

The Ammies will be looking to return to winning ways after a hard fought draw 1-1 against Doncaster Rovers.

Karl Robinson’s side are now without a win in two games, following an also disappointing defeat to 23rd place Carlisle.

However, the disappointment for the Ammies will not be dominating them in this fixture after a sharing a point in their last fixture against the third place opposition.

And this was shared by Karl Robinson, who praised his players for “a very strong and committed away performance”.

Although the Salford manager did feel that his side didn’t have the killer instinct to put the game away, with the Ammies leading up until the final 15 minutes.

As the Robinson said: “Again, our Achilles heel is not having the ability to put our foot down and get that second goal … don’t close shop, go and put daylight between you and the opposition.”

He continued: “I feel that when these chances arose, we were flippant within that, and we almost take 10 yards back.”

And he will want to see a change in front of goal, as they have the opportunity to capitalise on this against newly promoted Bromley, who sit in 20th, just two points from the relegation zone.

Bromley will be walking into the fixture with some optimism, going unbeaten in the last four fixtures picking six points.

And despite the list of draws already amassing to seven this season, they will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak but with a victory.

Bromley won their last league fixture on the October 22, with shock result over Doncaster Rovers 1-0.

But the Ravens did come close in their previous fixture, after leading their game against Carlisle for 92 minutes before going down to 10-men and unfortunately conceding.

With both Salford and Bromley’s last game resulting in them unable to keep hold of a 1-0 lead, expect the first goal to be ever important in Saturday’s affair.

Salford currently sit six places above their opposition and can consider themselves favourites going into the weekend but that doesn’t guarantee a comfortable victory.

While Bromley will undoubtedly look to Michael Cheek to inspire a win at the Peninsula Stadium, Salford will continue to try and get the most out of Kelly N’Mai with the Dutchman’s strong form earning him a League Two Player of the Month nomination for October.

And despite tumultuous results as of late, Salford can still move to just one point of the playoff places with a win.

Robinson reiterated after the Doncaster result: “I keep coming back to it, we are a good team, we have some big players missing today, and when they start coming back we will be a very good outfit that a lot of teams won’t want to play.”

Salford City will kick off against Bromley at 3pm this weekend, as they will look to continue to turn their form and push for promotion.
